Workshop Outline: Any promotion can be a challenge, but for those who are moving from a specialist or technical background into a management role, the lack of experience can be daunting. In this workshop we explore approaches to help you make the transition effectively and maintain strong working relationships with others. Workshop Learning Outcomes: On completion of the workshop participants will be able to: • Explain what makes leaders effective and recognise different management styles • Describe the key differences in job role, from a contributor to a manager of people • Outline key soft skills required for successful leadership • Explore individual strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats when making the transition to manager • Develop a personal action plan for success Workshop Duration: Various options available, including 2 hour to full day workshops, in person or online. The content can be customized and divided into smaller bite-sized sessions to fit in with your colleagues schedules and to minimise disruption to the smooth running of your service delivery.
